LITERATURE
The Carbon Almanac is a collaboration between hundreds of writers, researchers, thinkers, and illustrators and provides credible and authoritative information on carbon and its impact on the climate. The essays, graphs, cartoons, tables, and resources make it easy to digest and the global perspective shines light on how interconnected we are on this quickly changing planet. It is a hopeful and action oriented book. The Carbon Connection podcast is a good accompaniment, and while you are clicking the links check out Ecosia to help plant some trees.

ART IN OUR HANDS
Tasya van Ree is a multidisciplinary artist based in Los Angeles, California. Her artwork is infused with mystical messages, otherworldly elements, eros, alchemy, and the infinite mystery of Mother Earth. We find her 52-card The Untamed Elemental oracle deck and guidebook as a solid companion to any day. The art and words on each card are exceptionally Extradimensional and we may have drawn a card or two to help with the Spring release tasting notes.

EATS
White Oak Pastures is a six generation, 156-year-old, 5,000 acre family farm in Bluffton, Georgia owned and operated by Will Harris and his family. Will is one of Kate’s personal heroes from her time living in Georgia. His farming practices focus on regenerative land management, humane animal husbandry, and revitalizing the rural community of Bluffton. The farm’s zero-waste production uses each part of the pasture-raised animals, which are butchered on site. As you are brushing off your grill in the coming weeks with sights set on warmer weather, rest your eyes on this recipe for Grilled Saffron Leg of Lamb from White Oak Pastures.

PEAK OF THE WEEK WINE
The miracle of the 2021 Brosseau Vineyard Grenache is that it highlights beautiful ripe Grenache flavors on its low alcohol point. This will pair well with that leg of lamb.
