Fresh corn tortillas cool next to a molcajete. Though the coast is 9 miles away and 2,000 feet below, you feel it in the air beneath these towering redwoods. Swirling the glass, thoughts of spreadsheets, meetings, and unread messages dissolve into the myth of time. There is only the golden now circling the glass. Effortlessly the wine meets the palate with the hum of all-knowing, and you quickly reach for a tortilla, guac, anything. The voice asks: "Are you eating to make it stop or to go deeper?" Food down, you sit up straight and ride the finish into all-encompassing yeah.

On the nose: yuzu, corn tortillas, and redwood tips meet some secret blend of Creed perfume - pine, vetiver, bergamot, green apple. The palate is dynamic. Radiating flavors of lime pith and pulverized stone are carried on a bed of crisp dried straw and lemongrass. The charged finish sends both arms into the air, pulsating with jubilation, for here is the now and the now here, right right here. The 2024 Mariana's Chardonnay is a triumphant bottle of pure ecstatic yeah!
